Fire unlike other workplace risk has the potential to cause serious injury, death, business disruption and total loss of entire workplace and equipment. It should and must be taken seriously.

That is why the Statutory requirement to manage fire rests on the responsible person at any given time.

WHO IS A RESPONSIBLE PERSON

For the purpose of the regulation, a responsible person is someone who is in control at or of the premises at any given time. It follows a hierarchical progression. For example, in absence of the director, the manager becomes the responsible person. And in the absence of both the director and manager, the supervisor becomes the responsible person.

FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT

A fire risk assessment should identify sources of fire elements (ignition source, Oxygen, fuel/flammable materials) and people who may be at risk. And advise on how to deal with available hazards.

Our fire risk assessments are provided by experienced assessors, and risk assessments are tailored to meet the needs of your business.
