We advise and assist clients in carrying out their CDM duties for the duration of the project. We do this by;
1. Assisting in establishing and drafting of the pre-construction information.
2. Notification of the project to the Health and Safety Executive HSE.
3. Make sure that all aspect of health and safety are adhered to, from start to finish of the project.
4. Liaise with principal designer to make sure that health and safety is incorporated in all aspect of design work.
5. Assist the principle designer in preparing the health and safety file and make sure it is updated at all time.
6. Coordinate the principal designer, principal contractor designers and contractor on matters of ongoing project health and safety.

REASONS TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE HEALTH AND SAFETY

Looking at the figures above one might think hat it's quit a lot of money to spend in managing safety.
However, you will easily be swayed to understand that there are more to gain from spending a lot more to safely manage risks.
There are three main reasons to manage health and safety and here are;

Economic
These are the financial or commercial reasons that may impinge on your business activities. They includes, damages to equipment, machinery or vehicles, expense from enforcement notices and fees for interventions, Court fines, loss of trained employee that could affect your output.

Preventive, So act now, and don't wait for enforcement notices, keep prosecutions out of the way by being compliant.
Punitive, Convictions and or prison sentence, and you don't need to see your good name listed on the public register of convictions. 
Moral, Every employer owes the employees a duty of care, and the society expects the employer to ensure the health and safety of their workers.

Summarily, with all these expense and those that are not easily quantifiable due to external economies of scale, a reasonable person would conclude that effectively controlling workplace risks is worth  the resource spent in doing so.
